When Yakuza ganglord Anjo disappears with 100 million yen, the masochist Kakihara leads the rest of his gang in the search for him. But other Yakuza leaders are getting worried by the gang's atrocities and Kakihara is worried by the appearance of the mysterious and dangerously violent hitman Ichi, a killer with a childhood secret whose cruelty knows no bounds.
