On a day like most any other, a special kind of magic finds its way into the lives of the un-expecting people at the Fortune Cookie Chinese Restaurant and the surrounding close-knit neighborhood. It begins after an ordinary, yet somewhat mysterious box arrives at the restaurant, filled with highly coincidental messages and amazingly accurate predictions all wrapped up inside delicious crispy fortune cookies. And that’s when things begin to happen.
· A man who desperately needs money to pay a serious debt receives a windfall, only to unselfishly give it away to a friend in need.
· A young woman, living a flashy, fast paced existence finds a new angle in life, and maybe the faith to take a chance with a charming cowboy.
· He rides into town full of life and true love with a glittery, shiny theatrical dance show, hoping to find his big break.
· A self-made, self-focused Diva dangles the golden ensnaring strings to his bright future, while crushing the dreams of another.
· A misguided mystic is unwillingly and reluctantly persuaded into collaboration by the threat of possible scandal and ruin, not to mention bodily harm, and tries to comply, but instead finds herself on the run.
· As a happy mother gets her wings, a solitary soul deep and still discovers the exciting rapids for which he has secretly yearned.
· And two small children and their mother learn the sadness of loss and the strength of belief.
